Ishmael, boy of Abraham, is mentioned in two a Torah and the Qur'an. Within Islam, he is considered one of a prophets. Jews and Christians, through the Torah and Old Testament respectively, generally recognize Ishmael when a boy of Abraham, by Abraham's wife Sarah's female Egyptian servant or even slave, Hagar.

Ishmael in Judaism and Christianity
In the Jewish Torah's (Christian Old Testament's) Book of Genesis (xvi, seventeen, twenty-one, twenty-five) & late texts, Ishmael or even '''Yishma'el (יִשְׁמָעֵאל "God will hear", Standard Hebrew Yišmaʿel, Tiberian Hebrew YišmāʿĂȘl''') is Abraham's eldest boy, natural by his servant Hagar. A Bible does not explicitly mention a toddler crying however does mention Hagar sobbing. All a same Genesis 21:17 says God heard the son crying. The easily miraculously appears, saving each mother & kid.
Based on datthe from either Genesis 21, Ishmael became the skilled archer & sleep in the desert; his mother found a married woman for him from Egypt.
Sons of Ishmael
Based on data from a Torah/Old Testament, Ishmael's twelve sons were known as Nebaioth, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa (Biblical person), Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah (See ).
